| Back | Roach
Roach ( Rutilus rutilus ) a small fish of the cyprinoid
family that grows to about 15ins long and has a generally silvery
appearance with the back dull green and the lower fins red.
Roach are indigenous to U.K. waters and therefore make an excellent
pike bait. All the roach packed by Predator Baits are farmed
and are disease free, they come to us live in prime condition
and are packed in 3s and blast frozen to -40C immediatly upon
arrival.
The use of live and fresh dead roach taken from local rivers
and ponds and then used on different waters as pike baits is
frowned on by clubs and water authorities alike, this practice
spreads disease and spoils the sport for others.
